Message from the Practice Manager

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Team!

Thank you for all your support and great feedback over the past month the whole team very much appreciates it. Your response to our Flu, Covid and RSV campaigns has been tremendous, and we are proud to have helped vaccinate you all and hope you keep healthy in this winter period.

We are having a special afternoon on the 6th of December to coincide with the switch on in Poulton, we will have refreshments, a free adults raffle, free childrens raffle, name the bear draw and free facepainting for children, and adults if they are feeling the festive bug.

Our charity this year is Brian House and as such we are asking for donations of stationery items such as crayons, felt tips, paint, glue if you could support us in this, we would be most grateful.

Best Wishes,

Jenny Naden, Practice Manager.

World AIDS Day

In the UK, more than 105,000 people are living with HIV. G lobally, an estimated 38 million people live with the virus. More than 35 million people have died of HIV or AIDS related illnesses over the past 40 years, making it one of the most destructive pandemics in history.

Medical advances mean people with HIV in the UK can expect a long and healthy life and that we have the tools to stop HIV transmissions for good. But HIV continues to be highly stigmatised and misunderstood.

World AIDS Day exists to shine a light on the real experiences of people living with HIV today, while celebrating the strength, resilience and diversity of the communities most affected. It is a moment to inspire the leader ship needed to create a future where HIV doesn’t stand in the way of anyone’s life.
